Responsibilities
Provide strategic input and look at the big picture to effectively run the studio and ensure we’re doing production in the smartest, most cost-effective way
Ensure that shoots are staffed properly for client deliverables
Assist with developing scopes of work and budget parameters for projects
Effectively communicate ongoing project status with the SVP, EVP, video team, and account teams/clients
Oversee all PO/Invoice requests, vendor relationships and expense reports for multimedia team
Attend daily check-in team meeting and provide project updates to staff
Assist/lead selected projects through all phases of production including creative development, pre-production, and post-production. Projects might include production of sizzle reels, b-roll and additional branded content
Collaborate with production team and editorial team on creative development and post-production on all assigned projects
Stay abreast of new trends in content and technology in the motion graphic and video production communities and suggest new ways to implement these trends/technologies
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree in video production or in journalism/communications
• Creative thinker with 4-6 years of video production experience, experience as a field producer, and/or video/digital journalist required
• Strong knowledge of crew roles and rates, and how to build a “right sized” crew for selected projects
• Strong production skills in all phases of production; particularly field production. This is a role in which you wear many hats. Experience across all phases of production is a MUST
• Must have deep knowledge of the latest production equipment (cameras, digital/tape workflows, lighting, editorial)
• Must be well versed in post-production capabilities, and be able to effectively guide a project through the post-production phase
• Strong talent facing skills
• Excellent client facing/interpersonal skills. You will be interacting directly with clients and account teams
• High organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects at a time
• Must be able to work under tight deadlines and be willing to be flexible (for travel, hours and weekends) when needed to complete client work
• Must be team focused and work well in an edit suite with other editors, designers and producers
• Must be prompt, positive, and responsible
